Raccoon - Unwilling to let others see your intentions. Not totally being honest {with yourself or others}. A symbol for bridging the gap between your ego-self and your true self (unconscious). Ram - May be a sexual symbol. If something sinister about the ram, it may symbolize your shadow (parts of your psyche that has been rejected by your ego). Rape - In a woman's dream, rape may represent either (unconscious) fears of sex or (masochistic) fantasies of being raped. A man's dream of commiting rape would probably be a straightforward symbol of sexual desire, but of a sadistic kind. You probably need to aquaint yourself with your own feminine qualities and let them play a larger role in your life. What are you trying to take vengeance for? Rats - Contents of your unconscious that terrify you at first glimpst, emotions or instinctive impulsives that at some time in your past gave rise to guilt feelings. Rebellion - Repressed parts of you (unconscoius) that are threatening to take control if you keep disregarding them. Rebirth - A new level of awareness in your life; new goals and values; new energy as a result of releasing pent-up emotions. Red - may represent sexuality, passion, anger, danger. As the color of blood, red is a symbol of life, but also may be death (an end to something in your life). See Colors Rejection - May be a symbol of suppression or repression, the action by which we try to get rid of something in our psyche - usually a desire - that offends our moral sense or brings about a threat of punishment. Self rejection in a dream is the 'conscience' or 'super-ego' - introjected social coventions and attitudes - that does the rejecting, and often the victim is sexual desire. Relationships - It is common to dream about our relationships. You can interpret this dream by remembering the details and comparing them to the realities of your daily life. In your dream state you may be experiencing some wish-fulfillment or confronting things that you would normally ignore. Some say that relationships with strangers in your dream state represent the different sides of your personality. See Relationships Religion - This could be a symbol of your spiritual beliefs, or the need for more of a spiritual focus in your life. Renovation - May symbolize sel-renewal or rejuvenation. Renovation Rescue - Aspecst of yourself that have been neglected and need to be brought to consciousness. Being rescued from something may mean unconscious forces have been threatening to take over. The only person who can rescue you is yourself! Reservoir - may symbolize your unconscious or your potential - all the unrealized, because not yet chosen, possibilities for your personal development. A calm state of still water may represent untroubled state of tranquility, or the emotional virginal state of a (young) person whose emotions have not yet been roused. Revolution - Perhaps you should reconsider your point of view or outlook on something, because this could be a sign of psychological turbulence. Work to resolve conflicts in your life. Riches - This could be a materialistic symbol, and may even be representative of greed. However, it could also be referring to spiritual riches. Rifle - A symbol for aggressiveness; sexual energy; to kill someone with a gun is your hostility toward that person.
Right/left - Right/left symbolizes consciousnes/unconsciousness. Movement from left to right may signify an increase of conscious awareness. May also represent intellecy/intuition or thought/feeling; masculine/feminine; activity and assertivenes/passivity and receptiveness. In mythology left symbolizes the path to adventure, the road of danger and trials. The hero/heroine always takes the left hand path to accomplish desired results. Ring - May symbolize marriage and how you feel about the (prospective or actual) marriage. May be a symbol of being commited (to a realtionship). May symbolize eternity; or completeness, wholeness; your true self. River - This is a strong emotional symbol. Consider the state of the river - was it frozen? flowing? It’s representative of the passage of time as well. What are the currents in your life, the flow of emotions that tend to sometimes overwhelm you? Road - A rather straightforward symbol. It represents, in most cases, the journey of life that a person is on, your path, and the way they are progressing. It represents the direction that you are pursuing. If you were more interested in what was around the road than on the road itself, maybe you should focus your attention on where you are going in life. If the road was rough, it points at some difficulties that need to be overcome. Road Robber(y) - Material insecurities, perhaps. Maybe you feel as if you are being robbed of something in waking life. Robot - The dream may be telling you that you have become a robot in some way, and that you need to gain back your creativity and individuality. It could be warning you that you are being manipulated by another person. Rock - This may be representative of your stability in a certain situation. However, a rock could also be a symbol of difficulties that you need to overcome, depending on the context of the dream. Roof - Apex of thought or understanding. Could symbolize the dreamer is in a dangerous or precarious situation at present. Also a symbol of protection and shelter.
Room - May represent the self, or some aspect of yourself. The cellar or basement may represent the unconscious. a room at the top of a building may represent consciousness; idealism; lofty aspirations. Bedroom could reflect sexual emotions. What emotions are brought to mind in certain rooms in your home? Rose - A red rose may symbolize love; or passion. Roses, like flowers generally, may represent the beauty of Nature and a need to be in touch with nature. Rubbish - May symbolize repressed contents of the unconscious. A need to get rid of old attitudes, fears, guilt-feelings or other complexes that have been a burden in your life. Ruby - May represent passion;love or anger. May symbolize your true self. Ruins - What may be in ruins is a relationship, or your self-image, or your life. Running - Are you running from something in your life, some fear of something or someone? Perhaps you are not ready to deal with something and are running away from it. Physically running may symbolize you are competing for something, something in your physical life, or competing emotions. Running Rust - A symbol of ageing and deterioration, rust may mean that you are due or ovedue for a rejuvinationg spring-cleaning, abandoning of negative attitudes. Something rusty may symbolize some psychic component -instinct, skill, a personality trait - that has 'rusted' throught neglect and disuse.
